HiCON Fiber Distribution System

combines two LC-Duplex connections on the surface area of an XLR connector. It locks reliably by push-pull technology, sheltering the delicate interior with a spring-loaded protecting tube and two prongs which also double as a slide-in aid.
The properly functioning strain relief with sleeve support and the massive aluminium protective cover guarantee a trouble-free operation under tough conditions on the road.
The matching HI-FIBER4-FD socket can either be front or rear mounted in panels with 4 mm max. thickness. It has the same mating pattern on both sides, so alternatively it can be loaded directly with standard LC connectors as well. On the other hand it will also double as a direct extension adapter. The main advantage of the HICON HI-FIBER4-system is its field assembling suitability. SOMMERCABLE offers special tuitions for this purpose. The LC connectors we use are “made in Germany”, assembled by hand, machine-polished and then tagged with a test protocol.

1.) as plain cable
2.) as reel version with 2 m end piece on auxiliary coil
3.) as reel version with built-in socket
